and I return.

I just managed to snag an Intuos 4 tablet for Xmas and haven't gotten a chance to pull away from it. It's an addictive piece of hardware. Thanks to the good old Dad. Supplying me with better ways to get my work done.

So, it's been about three, three and a half years since I've touched my deviant account and this tablet has brought me back to it.

Alot has changed, dunno how to update. I've been keeping a blog that you might want to check out if you really care that much at all.

I'm working on designing sets for a living and have found comfort in two outside projects.
One) My roommate and I started a youtube comic sketch duo called Sky 'n Dave. Go ahead and search us out.

Two)Magazine Avenue is my band. We've been trying to get to playing more gigs and are (knock on wood) beginning to pick up a little bit.

that's that.

Mmmm, Dragonforce was lame but Killswitch was awesome.

The Locust were sooo intense, I thought there was a bigger chance of me dying in the crushing for Daughters than in the circle pit for Killswitch. But besides that, nothing really that new except:

Holy poo!

No way.

So I was trying to keep up to date on my deviant page, but Im a doof. So last concert I went to...These Arms Are Snakes. It took me a few days but they moved from one of the best bands I hadnt heard into my top ten in no time. Here's how the show went.

Viper:Viper-Aurora fuckers who need to grow a bunch of conciousness and start doing something new. Thats it. They sucked. Cliche and overdone.

The Sunset Curse- Fucking beautiful. I wish they had a cd but all they had were merch shirts unfortunately. I was so into their set and performance. Something to watch for.

Schoolyard Heroes-They were alright, definitely rocking. The chick was an annoying singer, but at least they had a good time playing for an ungrateful group known as Viper:Viper. Fuckers sat on the floor during their pop punk set. Go back to middle school and get beat up more.

These Arms Were Snakes- Im trying to keep this short. So basically, these guys are one of my favorite bands. Imagine The Blood Brothers slowing their stuff down just a tad, but insert a little more class. They knew how to throw down and break a stage and I cannot wait to catch these guys again. Easter, their second release is a picture perfect experimental hardcore album. Go pick it up.

In other news, cant wait for SCAD, am attending more concerts as they come because if I dont the droning workday wont be at all manageable.

I still love Patty Arenson (which_ones_pink) with all my heart.

ummm yeah. Dragonforce, He Is Legend and Killswitch tomorrow then The Locust on Wednesday. Im too excited.

So I havent updated in a while, and my most recent posts (besides my entries concerning AFI lyrics) are really depressing and I apologize. I guess that whole period is over, at least for now.

Lets see, recent news, went to the Maris the Great/Dork concert where my old best friend's band got their first big gig at the Marquis downtown opening for the three other bands. Rundown:

Fulcrum-Despite showing up late and assuming I missed a few of their songs I kind of missed out because they played a great set although nobody moshed around to their stuff which was unfortunate because it got pretty heavy.
Dropskots-I havent felt so pissed and happy all the time than when these guys got onstage and just blasted away, what energy, no wonder theyre so well known.
Maris the Great and the Faggots of Death-Holy crap, Ive never wanted to be so offended in my life and still have so much fun. A joke band, but pure rock'n'roll. The pit was intense too. By the by somebody in Denver has a chunk of my elbow flesh, sell it on ebay, make a profit, it'll be worth it. Go see them when the chance comes, even if you feel as if you'll hate them.
Dork-I cant believe I havent heard of these guys before. I got a shirt and their only cd and for good reason. But they had so much energy, so much incredible energy that just came out in what they played.

All in all it was a good venue and concert, the crowd could have been more welcoming, but besides the stiffs great show.

I also grabbed some Showbread tickets, and Im way too excited about that. Ive been listening to Showbread and He Is Legend nonstop just to get in the mood. The pit should be ten times tougher than this show and thats exciting.

Oh and SCAD is on the way, so that is really really really exciting.

Curious is kicking up and Im not as excited as before, I dont know why, maybe because its not as intimate as it was with the last one, but who knows. Interesting script and interesting cast and even more interesting crew. Im ready.

Oh my God!
My God this can't be happening!
God tell me,
tell me this isn't real!
I can't believe all that I have foreseen is finally happening.
I cannot for a single second stand the way I feel.
I always knew.
I always saw it coming.
Enveloped now,
encased by my worst fear.
I've never felt the nausea of longing to feel nothing,
I never wanted to cease to exist, just disappear.
Fear memories are all that lie ahead.
Never have I felt so lost.
Memories dull my senses.
Fear tragedy is all that lies ahead.
Never have I felt so dead.
Once felt so warm,
no I'm fucking freezing.
I am the once embraced abandoned one.
I raised my eyes up to the light in hopes of finding healing;
no relief was mine,
I was burnt, by the sun.
